Tip #2: Swing with your fingertips

Over the years of teaching the golf swing I’ve noticed that some people lose the feel for swinging the golf club. I believe that the golf swing is a combination of good swing mechanics and feeling the weight of the club swinging.

Two errors that some people make are, their grip pressure is too tight and their arms are too rigid. There are so many great tips and drills for these problems, but the one I believe works best is holding on to the club with just your finger tips.

Use a tee when doing this drill and start with half swings first until you get used it. By holding the club with just your finger tips you won’t be able to squeeze the club, plus your arms will be so light and tense free that you will be able to feel the weight of the club.

Don’t worry if you miss hit some, the idea is to get loose again and to feel the club swinging. Good Luck!

Tip #1: Get your putting range back
